news journal from Lahore,Pakistan,earned his graduation with distinction from the Punjab
University,Lahore,Pakistan.Later earned his MBA in
Business Administration in USA.
He
started his journalist career in 1969,under
the able guidence of top reporting journalists working in
his father's news organizations.
In
1976 he was appointed to replace a senior diplomatic journalist for Daily the Pakistan Times,Rawalpindi and
was based in National Press Trust's Chairman office,Islamabad to look after the Islamabad Bureau for diplomatic coverage and publication
of "special supplements"on the national days and special occassions by the embassies of the foreign countries
based in Pakistan.
In
a short period of ten years of his journalist career he was promoted to the rank of editor.He also represent a number of distinguished and well known foreign
newspapers and media.
He was the youngest editor from Pakistan to be honored with the membership of "IFRA",a world
known organization of publishers and owners of newspapers based in Germany.
And was elected for six consecutive
terms as the "Convenor" for the Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors (1979-86)besides
being the member of the Executive Committe of the CPNE as also the member of the
APNS(All Pakistan Newspapers Society).
He has the honor to interview Presidents,Prime
Ministers, Foreign
Ministers and many visiting
distinguished dignataries including,George W.Bush Sr.
(as Vice President), Henry Kissenger,the
former US
Secretary of State,The US President Bill Clinton and
Hellary Clinton.The Late King Faisal of Saudi Arabia,The
Late King Hussain of Jordan,Prince Karim Agha Khan,the religious leader of the Ismailis.Turkish Prime
Minister Demeral,former USSR Prime Minister
Garbochov
and many other distinguish personalities. He has to his
credit a number of "first class journalistic scoops , exclusive
news stories besides a number of columns published in the media".
He earned a " gold medal
" against the fight for eridication of drugs in Pakistan .He received a number of appreciation letters for his job
as journalist .He also served as "press entrouge member"for the Presidents and Prime Ministers of Pakistan
for almost a decade. He is an accredited journalist for the last 25 years with the Government of Punjab,Pakistan.
He was awarded by the Strathmor's "WHO'S WHO "(A WORLD BOOK TO HONOR THE DISTINGUISHED PEOPLE IN THEIR
PROFESSION)" a "Plaque of Honor" for the year 2002-2003 for his work he did during the last two decades
in the field of
journalism and articles and columns he wrote on the world issues.Like the invasion of Afghanistan
by the former USSR and what after that ?
Third world governments ,the aid money,grants and its misuse by the rulers
and officials,besides many more on burning international and social issues besides political
anlysis of world situation and Pakistan's internal situation.
